"Metro Phoenix ranked seventh among the nation's 60 employment centers for high-tech job growth in 2006, adding 3,800 technology jobs for a total high-tech work force of 91,400, according to an annual report published by AeA, a technology trade association.
Seattle had the largest gain, adding 7,800 high-tech jobs in 2006. The United States, as a whole, added 91,400 jobs for a total of 5.6 million high-tech slots. Overall, the Valley ranked 16th in high-tech jobs."
