Peoria on verge of water independence

"Peoria's most expensive public works project debuts Monday.

Initially, the $121 million Butler Water Reclamation Facility will clean 10 million gallons of wastewater a day for reuses such as irrigation.

The plant will be able to treat as much as 13 million gallons of raw sewage a day."
