"Just two doors away from Vickie Boysen's home in Surprise Farms sits a house reportedly gutted by thieves about three months ago at the start of what Boysen believes is a disturbing new trend spurred by the rise in foreclosures in the area.
Three air-conditioning units were pulled out and the backyard pool was wrecked at the house, which had been vacant for at least half a year, she said."
