"With Valley temperatures topping 100 degrees this week, authorities want people to remain safe from heat illness.
Firefighter Daniel Valenzuela, a spokesman for the Glendale Fire Department, said Tuesday that the agency receives several hundred heat-related calls during the course of the summer.
Residents and winter visitors alike need to stay safe and recognize the dangers that extreme heat conditions can cause, Valenzuela said."
