"Peoria has agreed to step in as a middleman to facilitate a $753,000 land sale between the Challenger Space Center and the Peoria Unified School District.
The City Council voted, 7-0, this week to buy the 3.8-acre site from the school district and immediately turn around and sell it to Challenger."
