Price tag for new ballpark goes up

"Glendale has gained money for its spring training ballpark, but it must return some funds related to the deal.

The city will get an additional $6 million from the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority.

Meanwhile, the city must return, with interest, a $2.4 million state grant received 10 years ago and used to buy the Camelback Ranch property that is now being used for the ballpark for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox."
